Hello Alice,
I’d just like to take the time to say thank you for allowing me to undertake my 100 hours Vocational Placement at the Beaumont Care facility at Rothwell.
I could not have wished for a better placement and I believe I have benefited greatly from the experience.
I must mention my wonderful mentors Jill and Sally. They taught me so much, not just in theory, but in practice. The way they treat the residents with such caring and compassion was sometimes above and beyond the call of duty and it really impressed me greatly. I only hope that, if I need it, that I am lucky enough to have such caring women take care of me. I found that even when sitting in the staff room there were discussions by everyone on any concerns regarding residents. It really was reassuring (as an outsider) to know that there are people who really do care. I will take many things learned there into my time in home and community care.
Once again, thank you so much for the experience. I look forward to volunteering there as well. Can you please pass on my appreciation thanks.
