Celebrations of 20 years’ entertainment by the fabulous Wayne Tribe were well and truly underway at Beaumont Care’s Rothwell aged care home last week. This farewell was full of fun and laughter, singing, speeches and dance.
Wayne has been a mainstay at this special care needs home for over 20 years, and not only as an organist, Wayne has led art classes providing materials, which has seen some terrific drawings, paintings and art shows over the years, giving residents such pleasure.
The team certainly made sure residents were actively participating with speeches and tributes and cards of appreciation, and a big cake for Wayne.
Hearing all the good ‘ol oldies rolled out with such gusto along with Wayne’s inclusive style for everyone to sing-along, words in large print of the songs, playing a hymn for one, special requests for others, made the afternoon such a joy. You will be missed by all Wayne. We have enjoyed your smiling face for over 20 years’ and while this chapter closes, we bid you every good wish for health and happiness into the future.
