Naidoc celebrations proved to be a fascinating week of interesting places to explore, to learn and just be involved. We played the instruments Didgeridoo, Clap sticks, Emu caller and Rain stick.

We all had a taste-testing of Crocodile, Emu and the Kangaroo. We enjoyed a range of bush jams and Lemon Myrtle tea for a special experience.

Bruce was keen to have his face painted in traditional aboriginal clay and we all enjoyed watching the Aboriginal dancing and singing to the sound of all the different native animals of Australia, the welcome dance and the fire dance.

Maureen having a go at the clap sticks, Alice on the Emu caller and Godfrey on the Didgeridoo.

The team really did educate us, and residents fully enjoyed the experience.
