Peninsula travelled to Italy in armchair travel, we used virtual tours on the big screen to do some amazing visits to all the landmarks.
We visited the Sistine Chapel, Vesuvius volcano, Roman baths, Eternal city of Rome and Venice. It was very interesting and we all learned so much about Italy.
Our Italian residents were able to discuss and tell stories of their life growing up there and for those that had taken vacations in Italy, they were able to revisit those special places, reminiscing about their experiences.
The menu for the day was all Italian, enjoying Italian biscuits, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Garlic Nread and yummy Tiramisu for dessert.
Italian music was playing, adding to the atmosphere of a great day and week of learning about a wonderful country, Italy.
