A Rose By Any Other Name!

Residents at Roslyn Lodge made handmade Roses today.

We had a special visitor Elena Grigor who has completed training through a Japanese flower making process and came and shared it with us all today.

We learnt how to make roses and made them into hairclips along with small white flowers that you might use in a wedding bouquet.

The flowers are made with a special type of clay imported from America.

We would like to thank Elena for being kind enough to come in, and not only share her techniques, but also her tools and equipment today which can be quite expensive. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the time together and we look forward to having more flower fun soon!
