Each and every one of our residents at Beaumont Care Roslyn Lodge is important and special. And none more special than a truly Beautiful lady inside and out, our own Dorothy Middleweek. Dorothy turned 103 years old today and celebrated in style!

She held a private morning tea with her daughter and son in law using a delicate fine bone heirloom china tea set kindly loaned to her for the special day by staff member Audra.

Dorothy then went onto host a fantastic birthday celebration with high tea sandwiches, vu le vents and glasses of champagne.

Dorothy gave a beautiful speech specifically thanking Kacey, our Service Manager, Deb, and Jordyn, for the amazing food from our kitchen and to all our staff for their continuous love and care for her each and every day.

Charmaine, our Care staff member wrote Dorothy a poem;
‘A Ditty for Dottie’
Dorothy arrived to us 100 years young
with dances to dance, and songs to be sung
Our ladies stepped up, Our men stood in awe,
at this gorgeous young lady who strode through the door.
Still independent with fire in her belly,
Telling us tales, no time for telly.
Make-up done daily, hair to be set,
with manners and poise, what you see is what you get.
A much loved woman, admired by many,
With a zest for life not matched by ANY!
No matter the task she will always push through
103, WOW! Look at you!…
My heart fills with joy, it’s my honour to care
to share in your life and always be there.
Susan and family, friends and co,
Cheers to Dorothy, THE BEST WOMAN I KNOW!
