Peninsula’s delightful volunteer Carolyn Farmer last spotted this week talking to residents about ice-safes, favourite family recipes handed-down, and wood stoves on which they were cooked, was fostering fond memories with residents.

During Anzac celebrations, Callie travelled to Kingaroy where she accompanied her father, Doug Farmer – long-term respected resident of Kingaroy – to the local Anzac Parade.

Doug served in New Guinea, was the Secretary of the Kingaroy RSL for 12 years and volunteered for Legacy for many years. Callie is always helping someone too. She is a proud grandmother of two, and staff and residents really appreciate having Callie with us at Beaumont Care.
