100 and Moving House!

Amazing Gerhard Bargen is closer to his 101st birthday than his 100th.

Amazing Gerhard Bargen is closer to his 101st birthday than his 100th. Gerhard was born on 30th August 1916 and has just moved to his new home at Roslyn Lodge.

Gerhard is well known to Roslyn as he returns, bringing joy and wonderment greeting Mayor Cr Greg Christensen, Mrs Denise Christensen, Cr Nigel Waistell and Scenic Rim CEO Mr Craig Barke. Roslyn Lodge welcomes Gerhard’s daughter Ms Valmae Dunlea back to Roslyn as she makes comfortable, homely and familiar, Gerhard’s accommodation.

The majestic framing proudly displayed is of congratulatory letters and wishes for Gerhard’s 100th year from Queen Elizabeth II, the Prime Minister, Commonwealth, federal and state leaders, and is testament to Gerhard’s significant longevity and is a real tribute to him. This man and his loving family typify all that Roslyn Lodge engenders – warmth, engagement, care and kindness, doing well and living a healthy and active life, enjoying the company of others.

From all at Roslyn Lodge, welcome home Gerhard!
