Linda June Beaumont

Linda Beaumont

I am so very sorry to share the news with you that Linda Beaumont, our courageous owner and tireless spiritual cheerleader, died early Wednesday evening, ending a tremendously brave and typically good-humoured battle with cancer.

Within her final hours Linda shared time talking and laughing with her beautiful sister and brother – Robyn and John, with her unfailing gratitude and characteristic optimism for all things intact to the end.

It would be natural that you will be asking – “What about Beaumont Care?” I can assure you, that Beaumont Care and Linda’s legacy are stronger today than at any time in recent years. In common with much of the aged care sector, Beaumont Care has experienced challenges before and during Covid. But Linda was thrilled to hear the details of a report I received just on Monday, which tells a positive and improving story which will underpin a strengthening business into the future.

I join with Linda’s siblings, Robyn and John and our CEO Elise in assuring you all that Beaumont Care is shaping up with only good news – a positive, forward-looking position and a refreshed and energised leadership team to continue to enhance the services and continue the development of Linda’s legacy.

Linda passed away knowing that arrangements she recently put in place have assured Beaumont Care’s future is secure – carried on now by all of us, including members of her family, for the protection and care of our residents and care recipients.

Look after yourselves and each other, – and please honour Linda by sharing your stories about the special place she has in all our memories and hearts.
