Born in Timbertop and a country girl most of her life, Jean has worked hard raising her children, working as a cook, and as a nurse at the local hospital. Her caring nature and responsiveness to those around her has been defined from her years serving as a nurse.
More recently, she lived at Bribie Island until returning to her country origins at Beaumont Care Wamuran Aged Care 10 months ago. Jean says that the thing she likes most about her home is the security and peace of mind that it brings.
“I was living on my own before I moved here and had a fall. You don’t have to worry about a thing living here – no cooking or cleaning and you just have to press the buzzer if you need anything and someone will be here to help out,” said Jean.
“I like that there is always someone around. It makes me feel safe and secure.”
In addition to the security and peace of mind, Jean also enjoys the food and says the staff are great.
“There is a good variety of food and I get along well with the staff,” said Jean.
“I enjoy spending my time doing my word search and puzzle books and I am looking at planting a garden outside my room. “
