Take To The Skies

Today Wamuran Park Home visited the Caboolture Warplane Museum and was a men’s only trip!  The boys really enjoyed themselves walking around looking at all the old planes and memorabilia from a time gone by.

John Ward and Stephen Wilkinson spent some time talking to the wonderful volunteers at the museum learning about the exhibits and their origins.  Some of the exhibits brought back memories for one of our boys Barry Hampstead who served in the Vietnam War for 18 months in 1965.

The boys had a deep respect for the exhibits and the stories that went along with them and a moments reflection on how life would be different without many men and women’s sacrifices.
