Message Of Thanks To Rothwell


On behalf of the Tracey, Curtis and myself I would just like to take this opportunity to say a big Thank You to yourself, Toni, Muriel and all your staff for giving the students their time and knowledge of aged care and in particular of clients who have dementia.

I know that it is a time consuming undertaking, but the staff were always receptive and patient with the students and this has made their learning experience much smoother. I know they have appreciated it.

May I also take the opportunity to say, from a professional point of view, how wonderful it was to always visit at Rothwell.

Whenever I entered your facility it was always a warm and relaxing atmosphere, although it might not have felt that way to staff! It felt like I was walking into someone’s home. The staff treat clients with respect, maintaining their privacy and dignity and appeared to know the history of the client well enough to relay this information to the students and this of cause facilitated the students communication with the client, but it also demonstrated to me the staff take the time to know about the person they are caring for and therefore care about the client as a person and not just “another old one with dementia”.

Please extend my thanks and gratitude to all the staff who have been the involved with the students. They have all been wonderful.
