Morann, a keen motor racing enthusiast who worked in advertising in her younger years, says that the staff and residents at her home at Beaumont Care Clontarf are one big happy family.
“I used to live on my own and I don’t have any family left that are able to come and visit me now. I’m not alone though, because I have the staff and residents. They are my family,” said Morann.
“We all look after each other and we have fun.”
Beaumont Care Director, Linda Beaumont, says that a family-like community atmosphere is something that Beaumont Care Clontarf is well-known for.
“We have many staff who have lived in the Redcliffe area most of their lives. There are residents here who taught some of our staff when they were at school,” said Linda.
“The staff know the residents and their families well, and many of the families also know each other. It really is one big happy family.”
