Clontarf’s Bob Champions Men’s Mental Health This Movember

78-year old Clontarf resident Bob is shining a light on men’s mental health this Movember!

Throughout his own life, Goondiwindi born Bob has experienced many adventures and tragic events.
At age 7 the young Bob nearly didn’t survive an accident in the paddock left him with a head injury, while at 8 years old, a nearly drowning saw him pulled out of a large drain by his friend. Three car crashes later, Bob then survived being struck by lightening while watching TV!

Always a hard worker Bob spent 23 years in the Army reserve (where he earned the nickname ‘Blowfly’) and 33 years in the SES Queensland.

This Movember, Bob wants to help create awareness of men’s mental health within his community at Clontarf and remember the friends he has lost along the way. He will be doing a complete head, beard and moustache shave at the end of the month.
