Raymond Curtis, an integral part of the Tamborine Mountain community is a new resident of Roslyn Lodge, and recently had an exciting tribute made to him. His son Hugh Curtis came in and played the violin to him with Raymond’s wife Eve and many other family and friends listening in.
The wonderful thing about the violin that was being played is that it is 105 years old and was previously owned by Raymond’s father. This violin has been in pieces for many, many years and has only just recently been professionally put back together so Raymond could enjoy listening to it once more.
It was beautifully played by Hugh and was a lovely way to honour not only his father’s but also his grandfather’s life. Thank you for letting us be a part of this special time.
